Every single time I hear Dora the Explorer discuss Swiper the Fox, and he successfully swipes things – I think to myself “What an asshole.” Usually with a vitriol, I mean, Dora is supposed to be 5 and Boots is a monkey. Seems cruel. Of course this line of thinking naturally leads to a conversation about how Dora is a condescending altruist who talks down to Boots and the audience. Seriously though, anyone else figure out why they made a talking Map instead of a GPS? Or where the adult supervision is?
I think I over analyze children’s TV.
But maybe this answers the popular question: “What does the fox say?”
He says: “You’re too late! You’ll never find ’em now!”
